The first exhibition of senior thesis artworks opened Tuesday in Zilkha. The first week of presentations features works by Studio Art majors Rachel Lindsay, Oliver McCarthy-Foecke, Carol Wachniki, Julia Himmelstein, Alden Blair and David Wilsch. Pieces vary from architectural works to drawings, paintings and works on paper.
“I brought a friend visiting from home to the reception,” said Zoey Farber ’08. “I think it’s a great introduction to Wesleyan and represents the amount of creativity our students have.”
Wesleyan community members can view these students’ works through Sunday.
“I’m pretty inspired by seeing this,” said Lyuba Azbel ’08. “I can’t wait to see the other student pieces in the following weeks.”
On Tuesday a new group of thesis works will go up. Each exhibition week is accompanied by opening reception on Wednesdays at 4 p.m.
