Thanks, Wesleyan!

Wesleyan University Students and Staff:

It hardly seems enough to write and tell you how much we appreciate your generosity in supporting Macdonough School with the Bring Back a Book donation program. I only wish that you could have seen the faces of our students as they came in to school to see all of the books. Smiles of excitement were seen throughout the day.

Providing quality children’s literature for our students reading enjoyment at home is a high priority at Macdonough School. Your generosity set the stage for us to continue this tradition for the remainder of the school year.

As I circulated through our classrooms this week, there was a clear sense of pride in our students to have such an assortment of new reading materials. In addition, teachers have used the donations as a teaching point for children about the importance of giving.

Our entire school community, teachers, students, and parents alike, have expressed their deep thanks and appreciation for being selected for such a significant donation of children’s literature.

Best wishes to you for a successful conclusion to the academic year.
