“Anti-Semitic” an epithet?

In her recent Wespeak, Alison Weir wrote that to call someone anti-Semitic is to use a “despicable slur,” calling the word an “epithet.” This choice of words is quite revealing of her mindset. Nigger, kike, and anti-Semitic… three peas in a pod, right? Three despicable slurs and epithets.

I hope that the next time a speaker abuses the platform we provide at Wesleyan in order to tell lies about Jews, students remember how offensive it is when we call that speaker anti-Semitic.
