Women suck too: a Mad Lib response to Carp

Last week I attended the discussion session about Women and the problems they face and while I was not at all surprised by the complete lack of well-deserved criticism by the Wesleyan population of the female gender, I was quite peeved nonetheless.

In essence, the discussion focused on defending Women’s negative reactions to misogyny in society, in this case, embodied by those arrogant, bullying old boys club, “makes fun of them [Women]” too much. The loud THUD made by my jaw hitting the floor as that preposterous idea was proposed could be heard far and wide. What was even worse was the fact that no one even bothered to question the irrationality of women as a response to this “insult” to their gender. For some reason, we can ignore the fact that thousands upon thousands of women regularly cry to get what they want because the quiet, blond-haired, mild-mannered men insulted the mythology that they, Women, have been brought up believing their whole lives. It’s completely acceptable to act like a whiny child, to whine, to complain, to manipulate others with their bodies, as long as they feel “made fun of.” While offending one’s gender may be tactless, let us not be hypocritical. Where was the darling Left when Women said that it would be okay to use sex to get what they want? And where were the angry Men in all this, spending hundreds of dollars on shoes, complaining about their weight, and talking about people behind their backs? They don’t exist, and they never have. By and large, the Male population—many of whom are as deeply emotional as many Women—are not little babies. So why do so many Women conduct themselves so pettishly and hatefully, then? Certainly, we cannot suggest that it is ALL Women who are irrational and manipulative, that is absurd and not worth arguing about. But many, many, MANY are, and I’d like to know why. I’d also like to know why otherwise intelligent people defend these groups. While the publication of the Misogynistic cartoons may have been insensitive, people have the right to be insensitive. And the so-called insensitivity of these newspapers and their editors (or even the artists of the cartoons) does not excuse such a despicable reaction from these animals. We respect the right of freedom of speech, and shame on the female tyrants who called for punishment for the newspaper publishers and artists.

Do not dare say that this overboard reaction is an isolated incident in the Woman world. Have we not seen outrageous and ridiculous behavior from them before? Are these not the people who buy celebrity magazines by the case and throw up all the food they eat? Are these not the people who threatened the frats with desactioning when they had a “Pimps and Hos” party? Are these not the people who flip out on a daily basis, accuse their friends of irrational things, and dump people because they have PMS, all the while hiding behind the shroud of gender equality? Is this not the culture that calls for women to wear three-inch stilettos and short skirts and then to complain about being uncomfortable and cold? These are people who raise their children to be needy and dependent, who step onto a public bus and won’t sit on the dirty seats— all in the name of their gender. They do not deserve defending, and anyone who does so must implicitly or explicitly accept the utter stupidity that is practiced by such a group.

As stated before, but which will almost assuredly be ignored by most readers, I am not attempting to claim that all Women behave this way. But it certainly does seem that nearly all people who behave this way are Women. It is therefore necessary—assuming one is dedicated to truth and morality—to question the hell out of Women and the behaviors, attitudes and actions of its adherents. And perhaps we should anyway; after all, how tenuous is a system of gender if it constantly needs to be defended (in many cases, to the courthouse) by its subscribers? Are these Women really so insecure in their gender that they need to attempt to emotionally castrate anyone who dare criticize or make light of it? Why don’t people of other genders respond to insults the way these Women have? Those of us who are dedicated to seeking truth and defending morality must ask, then, what’s wrong with the Female World?

Now. Were you enraged reading this? Did you hate me for what I wrote? Think I’m a big women-hating Satan? Sorry, but where’s my free speech now? Unless you looked at my “argument” and thought of logical counterexamples, sorry, you’ve got no high ground. So you were okay with pimps and hos, but not okay with cartoons? Maybe there is a viable difference to be drawn. Where is it?

Evan Carp. This is your Wespeak, word for word on a different subject. Sorry. It didn’t deserve the defense you gave it. Your Wespeak wasn’t an argument. If you want to continue calling it that, it’s certainly a bad one, utilizing hyberbole and specious claims to a rather embarrassing extent. Arguments aren’t fill-in-the-blanks. Go do some research, and make a point, if you’ve actually got one.
