We, the owners of WesWings, are writing in response to the recent Wespeak submitted by the people of the Chinese-Indian-Jewish alliance (and perhaps some mix thereof). We considered your argument and have concluded that our choice of menu description for the “Oriental Ginger Chicken” was an egregious oversight, though not intentional. The word “Oriental” has been removed from the menu boards and from our website www.weswings.com. We appreciate your suggestion of “Honey Ginger” and will consider it as a permanent replacement. Furthermore, we have forwarded your letter to the Saratoga Salad Dressing Company, which manufactures the sauce under the label “Oriental Honey Ginger,” and encouraged them to consider a name change. The people have spoken and we have heard them!
