Goldblatt makes me nauseous

Dear Ms. Goldblatt,

Is it really necessary to write a Wespeak on such a minor bone of contention as a grammatical error, especially two weeks after the fact? Is it, in fact, even an error? To be honest, you don’t appear to be very good at spotting errors, even when they appear in your own writing. At any rate, both the OED and Merriam-Webster assure me that the term “nauseous” is indeed synonymous with the related “nauseated.” It’s one thing to correct someone for poor grammar—but it’s another thing entirely to correct someone for a mistake they haven’t made. Really, it’s enough to make one feel… sick.

Grammatically Yours,

Dominic
