Stephen P. Morgan, the man accused of fatally shooting Johanna Justin-Jinich ’10 last May, appeared in the Middletown Superior court on Tuesday, Jan. 26. Judge Patrick Clifford granted a continuance until March 2 in order for a mental health evaluation on Morgan to be completed.
Morgan’s attorney, John D. Maxwell, will determine whether or not to include insanity in his plea based on the results of the evaluation. Morgan is pleading not guilty.
