This sophomore splashed onto the scene last year, setting the Wesleyan school record for distance in javelin throw. Moody threw 185-9 in the Trinity Invitational Tournament on March 31 of last year. He would break his own record just weeks later, when he threw 187-11 on April 14, 2007 at the Elmer Swanson Invitational.
His dominance in the javelin throw was unparalleled in 2007 as he finished in the top spot in four straight contests, including securing first place in the NESCAC championships. With just a fourth-place finish in the New England Championships, Moody will look to build on his impressive freshman campaign, and help lead the track and field team again in 2008.
