Although scattered showers yesterday made getting to class frustrating, it was nothing like last Wednesday, Feb. 13, when a huge rainstorm drenched campus and those trying to make their way around it.
“That was the shittiest weather I have ever encountered in my life,” said Hunter Craighill ’08.
Physical Plant reported dozens of roof and basement leaks at various buildings around campus including the CFA, Foss Hill and Butterfield dorms, North College, Judd Hall, Freeman Athletic Center, Shanklin, Hall-Atwater, HiRise, as well as at a number of senior houses.
The weather downed power lines at the Project to Increase Mastery of Mathematics and Science (PIMMS) building, and Cross Street near the Freeman Athletic Center had to be closed while the problem was fixed. In addition, a number of utility vaults on campus flooded and had to be pumped out.
