News Brief: Marcia Bromberg retires

President Bennet sent an email to the Wesleyan Community Monday afternoon announcing that Marcia Bromberg, Vice President of Finance and Administration, plans to retire at the end of the fiscal year, June 30. Bromberg has been at Wesleyan for four years. In that time she has worked to increase transparency, develop the University bookstore, plan various new construction projects, and assist in making campus energy systems more environmentally efficient.

Bennet added that the University will soon begin a nationwide search for Bromberg’s successor. Vice President and Secretary Peter Patton, Vice President for Information Technology John Meerts, and director of investments Tom Kannam will take over various aspects of Bromberg’s responsibilities while the position is vacant.
