A couple weeks ago, a horse bit off an Indonesian man’s testicle. The 35-year-old man was working at a construction site, when the horse, whose owner admitted had bitten people in the past, came by and nabbed one of the man’s testicles. Bystanders quickly took the partially castrated man to a nearby hospital.
After going through a routine MRI, a man coughed out a nail that had been stuck in his nose for the past 30 years. According to doctors, the MRI probably dislodged the nail from the membrane that had formed around it. The man said he had no idea how the nail entered his nose.
Inmates in Sao Paulo, Brazil, have begun using homing pigeons to smuggle cell phones into jail. According to prison guards, the pigeons are raised within the prison, released, found by associates outside of prison, and return with cell phone components attached to a leg. A police investigator working on the situation said that the phones were used to talk to friends and family and to communicate regarding planned criminal activity.
Upon entering the home of a man apprehended while stealing hubcaps, police in Altamonte Springs, Florida, found a refrigerator full of hubcaps. The thief’s house contained 105 hubcaps, primarily from Volkswagen and Toyota models, and the Altamonte police subsequently put out a notice advising local residents who are missing hubcaps to contact them.
An Ohio man was arrested for drunk driving after crashing his motorized bar stool. Police say the man later admitted to drinking 15 beers before attempting to pull a U-turn on his bar stool — powered by a lawnmower engine — which caused him to crash. The man denied drinking before the crash, and requested a jury be present at his trial.
A Chechen and a Russian mother recently discovered they had been raising the other’s child. The Russian mother began to wonder when the child showed none of the family features.. Checking the maternity tag, she found that the children had been switched. After a court case and a DNA test, the children were returned to their biological parents.
