Wesleyan clinches a NESCAC tournament spot with a win against Williams on Saturday or one Middlebury win in its three-game series against Amherst this weekend. Wesleyan would be the second seed in the NESCAC West and would play Tufts in its opening game.
Softball
Wesleyan clinches a playoff spot with two wins in its three-game series against Middlebury. The Cardinals can clinch the NESCAC West for the third straight year with:
-A sweep of Middlebury and two Amherst wins against Williams.
-Two wins against Middlebury and an Amherst sweep of Williams.
Wesleyan will play either Tufts, Trinity, or Bowdoin in its opening game.
Men’s Lacrosse
Wesleyan has clinched a NESCAC tournament spot and can finish as high as seventh. If the Cardinals lose at Conn. College on Friday, they will finish eighth and will play Conn. College again in the NESCAC quarterfinals. If the Cardinals win, they could finish seventh or eighth and could play Conn. College or Tufts in the first round:
-If Wesleyan wins, Tufts wins, and Amherst defeats Trinity, the Cardinals will play at Tufts in the quarterfinals.
-If Wesleyan wins, Tufts loses, and Amherst defeats Trinity, the Cardinals will play at Conn. College in the quarterfinals.
-If Wesleyan wins and Trinity defeats Amherst…
-If Tufts defeats Bowdoin and Middlebury defeats Williams, Wesleyan would finish eighth and play at Tufts in the first round.
-If Tufts defeats Bowdoin and Williams defeats Middlebury, Wesleyan would finish seventh and play at Conn. College in the first round.
-If Bowdoin defeats Tufts and Middlebury defeats Williams, Wesleyan would finish eighth and play at Conn. College in the first round.
-If Bowdoin defeats Tufts and Williams defeats Middlebury, Wesleyan would finish seventh and play at Tufts in the first round.
