Student control is a bad idea

Wednesday afternoon there was some sort of rally/protest/meeting thing at Crowell concert hall. I slept right through it, and honestly wouldn’t have gone had I been awake. Apparently the issue at hand was administrative transparency. The people at Wesleyan who love to hear their own voices have decided for some reason that they should be privy to information concerning decisions on how the University is run. I cannot stress how bad an idea that is. Opening up administrative processes for student review is an obvious foot in the door for student interference. At Wesleyan (as at most institutions) the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and my life is controlled too much already by the half-baked whining of a few special interest groups.

To be honest, though, I have a generally low level of respect for all of you motherfuckers; as bad as the school runs now, the smart money would speculate that it would get worse if they let you all get more involved.

P.S. The patches you’re all wearing are adorable. Where do I get one that says “completely apathetic”?
