I am absolutely appalled at some of the terrible crimes that students on this campus commit. As a liberal, tolerant, educational institution, Wesleyan should not be a safe place for hateful, violent people. Here is a list of 15 hate crimes, violence, and harassment that I witnessed in a recent 15-minute stroll from the Butts to the Center for the Arts.
– A student was eating a hamburger.
– A staff member was littering.
– A student was jaywalking.
– A male student commented to a female student, “You look nice today!”
– A student was eating non-organic chocolate.
– Several students were streaking.
– A student wearing a “four more years” t-shirt was run over by a car.
– Several students were carrying plastic bags from Wal-Mart.
– A student was chalking.
– A student was praying.
– A heterosexual couple was smiling and holding hands.
– A student was carrying a can of Coors Light.
– A student was carrying a Bible
– A student was reciting verses from the Bible.
– A student shot a squirrel and several birds.
Acts like these should be stopped immediately, and the administration at this school should enact stricter consequences for those who are caught doing any of these things.
