Dear Mr. President Roth,
We, the 8 Warren Avenue community, honored your inauguration properly. We provided fun, games, music, and signs of congratulations for you and the rest of the inauguration ceremony, yet all we got was a wave. While you claim to be accountable to the student body and have made availability a key principle of your newly crowned administration, you simply drove by in your motorcade while barely acknowledging the sacrifice that we made for you. We threw you a party. We took the time out of our job searches and academic work to place ourselves at your feet and worship your new role as leader of our university. All we ask in return is that you do more than wave; now we seek justice. Frankly, Mr. President, you owe us. The best party of the year occurred on our balcony during your inauguration and you refused to participate. We hope that you will consider the sacrifice that we have made for you the next time you walk down Warren Avenue. We expected more, and now we demand restitution. Please appear at our balcony promptly at 9pm on Saturday November 17th so we may have a truly open campus in which the student body is fully represented. No more totalitarian motorcades! Thank you.
