An Odwalla costing four dollars, a pack of Oreos for five—a rip off? How about paying $5 for an Odwalla and $6.20 for your Oreos? Is a “point” just another name for a dollar? No. You currently pay $1,676 per semester for 1,355 points. Of those 1,676 dollars, 225 are earmarked as a dining operations facility fee, which supports the already high prices. In the end, we pay $1,451 for 1,355 points. Next time you pull out your ID, realize that you are paying a 24 percent premium on the already high prices and getting only mediocre food.
