Public Safety would like to remind the community to be very cautious about leaving your property unattended. College campuses usually see a spike in laptop thefts at this time of year from our libraries. These thefts usually occur when you get up to go get a bite to eat or use the restroom. We did have a theft at Olin over the weekend.
There are people who prey upon campuses at this time of year knowing that students are preoccupied with getting final papers written and studying for exams. When working in the library (or anywhere on campus) please take your valuables with you if you are leaving the area for a short period of time or leave them with a friend who is remaining in the area. We ask that you be vigilant in this regard and have a successful end of the semester and happy holiday season.
