Davison House Call

Welcome to the first article of Davison House Call, a new column that will run the first and third Tuesday every month. The column is sponsored by the Health Center, Office of Behavioral Health for Students and WesWell and the Office of Health Education. All three offices are now conveniently located in the same building at the Davison Health Center at 327 High St.

The purpose of the column is to provide a medium to answer questions about health related issues important to Wesleyan students. Our hope is that students will generate the questions for the column from which our in-house experts will respond. Think of it as “Dear Abby” with a health twist!

Students can e-mail questions on their health concerns to weswell@wesleyan.edu. The staff from the three health offices will review and select a “theme” for each column based on the questions submitted. All names will be held in confidence; if you wish to use a non-Wesleyan e-mail address to further protect your identity, feel free to do so.

Please note that while the DHC staff will strive to answer as many questions as possible, it is unlikely that all questions will be answered individually. Lastly, the column should not replace the medical advice of your health care provider and/or therapist.
