The men’s and women’s cross country teams had a solid weekend as the two squads competed in the annual NESCAC tournament meet hosted by Hamilton College Saturday, Oct. 30. With four runners placing in the top 24, the Cardinal men finished fourth in the meet rankings, marking the squad’s best placement in the NESCAC Championship since placing third in 2005. On the women’s side, a tough eighth-place finish also showcased some of the younger Lady Cards, showing promise for the future.
Charles Lang ’11 led the way for the Cardinal men, as he ran the 8k course in 26:52.0, placing 17th out of the 127 runners, and just 45.2 seconds behind four-time NESCAC winner and 2008 NCAA champ Peter Kosgei from Hamilton.
