A new food co-op

Dear Friends,

The organization formerly known as Veg-Out cordially invites you to join a sweet new eating co-operative.

– Four (4) meals a week – a lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday

– 1 or 2 hours of work a week to help run this true co-operative effort. Participation will be in the areas of cooking, cleaning, driving, planning.

– Focus on simple, nutritious, vegan meals and local ingredients. Dinners will be grains, protein source, and vegetable matter. Nothing fancy. Lunches will be light and involve less cooking.

– 200 of your points for the semester will go to the co-op’s fund. That works out to be about 17 dollars for each weekend’s worth of food.

– The co-op is open to all, and is set up to not to hurt financial aid students.

Only 35 people will be able to participate (that’s our agreement with
Dining services). If you are really want to do this and can commit to the work involved with making a co-op community function, email ajalexander@wesleyan.edu. If you have cooked or cleaned for the veg-out co-op over the past year, we’ll guarantee you a spot, so include that in your email. If there are more than 35 people that want in, a lottery will occur.

Please reply with your name by Thursday (28th). Feel free to email with any questions before you make this commitment.
