Normally mild-mannered and apolitical, the Ampersand is finally taking a stand. With a sea of Democratic primary candidates to choose from, we know that our readers need guidance in making their decision. This issue of the Amper contains arguments from a number of writers in favor of a number of candidates.
Do not listen to them. They are motivated by special interest groups and hormones.
Instead, listen to us, the editors. This year, the Ampersand is officially supporting Rep. (which, no matter how many times we read it, still makes us think he’s a Rep.ublican) Dick Gephardt. Ol’ Geppy is the only candidate with the ability to win not only the primary, but also the presidency. Hands down.
Remember: Dick Gephardt in 2004. Because a blistering defeat and a campaign withdrawal won’t stop our man!
