The Wesleyan softball squad enters the 2010 season looking for its third straight NESCAC West title and fourth straight NESCAC tournament appearance overall. As the Cardinals look to continue their record-setting run, Dendy, a tri-captain, will look to set a few records of her own. A three-time first-team all-NESCAC honoree, Dendy will look to cement her legacy both at the plate and on the mound in her senior season.

Dendy, who was named NESCAC Pitcher of the Year in 2008, set the school record for wins in 2009 after going 12-8 to raise her career record to 30-19. She holds a career 3.29 ERA and has racked up 211 strikeouts in 304 innings. In addition, Dendy owns a .377 career batting average and is tied for second on the career hits list with 137, needing just 37 to take over the top spot. Her 97 career runs scored are also a program record, and she needs 22 RBI to take over the all-time lead after driving in 18 runs each of the past two seasons.

Wesleyan begins its quest for a divisional three-peat with a 14-game trip to Clermont, Fla. from March 10-18. The Cardinals begin play up north with a doubleheader against 2009 NESCAC East runner-up Bates on March 28 and open NESCAC West play with a three-game series against Hamilton April 2-3. Wesleyan will also look to clinch at least a share of the Little Three title for the third straight year with three-game series against Williams April 9-10 and Amherst April 23-24.
