The University of Oregon terminated the season of their third-ranked Ultimate Frisbee team in the nation, following a shirts versus pants game during sectionals. Members of the student board that made the decision said that the half-nude game occurred while the team was on probation from alcohol and speeding offenses.

A crowd of roughly 100 witnessed a drunken couple engaged in intercourse on the lawn of Windsor Castle, the residence of the Queen of England. Castle guards were alerted by shouts from spectators, many of whom filmed the deed, before two protection squad officers reached the couple, who were jailed overnight. The queen was not aware of the event at the time, as her apartments are on the far side of the Castle from where scene occurred.

A National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) research vessel struck the fluke of a North Atlantic right whale—an endangered species the NOAA is charged with protecting. The whale may have been feeding at the time of the collision, and therefore unaware of the small boat. The whale was lacerated by the vessel’s propeller, officials reported that the injury did not appear life threatening.

Strike leaders have said they are willing to pay prostitutes to ensure that their campaign is effective in bringing a resolution to the currently stalled negotiations between President Mwai Kibaki and Prime Minister Raila Odinga. “Great decisions are made during pillow talk, so we are asking the two ladies at that intimate moment to ask their husbands: ‘Darling can you do something for Kenya?’” said campaign organizer Patricia Nyaundi.
