During GRS, MOST people got housing, including the last group with GRS number 589. However, those people at GRS who went in as singles, such as me, and who watched as the available singles trickled out of existence until none were left are now being penalized by not receiving a point adjustment because there were still doubles left available at the end of GRS. When I saw that the singles were all gone, I asked what I should do. I even offered to be put into a one-room double in the Wash houses, just so I could go home with the peace of mind of knowing where I would be living. Apparently one single cannot be put into a double, so I was told that I should merge with someone.
Unfortunately for me, at that point, there were no more people in the room who were in a single group that I could merge with. So now I am in the worst type of situation, along with some others. Because there were still doubles left, we are not eligible for the point adjustment. However, we are still forced to go home over the summer with no housing. ResLife really needs to get this sorted out. I’m not the only one who’s upset.
