Student activity fee increased

The Wesleyan Student Assembly (WSA) voted on Sunday to increase the Student Activity Fee, which funds student groups, lectures, and Spring Fling, by $28. The new fee will be $135 per semester. Citing the fact that the fee has remained constant since 2001, supporters of the raise argued that it was necessary to, among other things, better meet student groups’ requests. According to WSA President Zachary Kolodin ’07, $22 of the raise accounts for inflation.
