While I do not want to engage in a war of words through the Wespeak page of the Argus, I do want to make a quick clarification and present a challenge to Mike Pernick after his latest column. Instead of your personal attacks, let’s engage on our real disagreements. I will not defend centrist policies by the Democratic Party, nor do I think they will ever be a winning strategy, as the last six years has demonstrated, no matter what kind of rhetoric you throw at me. That’s not being idealistic, that’s being pragmatic. I challenge you to actually respond to the questions I raised in my last Wespeak and debate the merits of your position on my radio show, Don’t Believe the Hype, next Wednesday at 5PM on WESU. I look forward to our discussion.
