GETTING READY TO MOVE OUT? TIRED OF ALL THE WASTE THAT ACCUMULATES AT WES AT THE END OF THE YEAR?
So is everyone else on campus. So we have decided to help solve this problem. This year, starting at the beginning of exam week on Monday, May 15, 2006, trailers will be placed in various locations on campus and will be open throughout exam week for you to get rid of items that you no longer need but think someone else might want (pillows, microwaves, chairs, books, lamps, carpets, non-perishable unused food, clothes, etc). We are working to eliminate the waste at Wesleyan and believe that this can happen if you avoid throwing useful things away and INSTEAD use the trailers located at the following sites:
1. Foss Hill Drive by Fauver
2. Foss Hill Drive by Nic 5
3. MoCon Circle
4. Wyllis Ave by Hewitt 10
5. Home Ave by Butt C
6. Butterfield Parking Lot
7. Pine Street Lot at end of Fountain Ave.
8. Vine Street Parking Lot
9. Washington Street between 202 and 230
10. Lowrise/Highrise Parking lot
After move-out day, these trailers will be relocated to the Vine Street Parking lot so seniors can have better access to them during senior week.
In addition, students are welcome to take things from the trailers that they would like to keep-FOR FREE. Hence the name FREECYCLE. (Free stuff + Recycling=Freecycle)
Please help us make Wesleyan more environmentally conscious.

FURNITURE TAG SALE
May 20, 2006 will be a chance for students in woodframes to wake up early and bring their furniture outside their houses for Middletown Residents and Weskids who are interested to buy furniture. This proposed TAG SALE will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (or later) on move-out day for underclassmen, which is Saturday, May 20. Seniors, it is UP TO YOU to wake up and put up signs, recruit juniors, recruit others from Middletown to come to YOUR house and buy YOUR stuff. Underclassmen, it is up to YOU to wake up and buy their shit if you’re in need of a couch, bed, desk, table, etc. Seniors, please take this opportunity to sell some stuff that you won’t be using next year in the Peace Corps or while traveling in Europe.
Also, if in the case you do NOT wish to sell your furniture or other items, donation is always an option. Please donate to our FREECYCLE and give away what you do not need to people who may still wish to use your old lamps or coffee maker.
