Passover options better than ever

I would like to publicly thank Rabbi Leipziger-Teva and all of the other wonderful people responsible for making Passover at Wesleyan so easy and enjoyable this year. Every year the options for those Jewish students observing 7-8 days without leavened products increase, and this year has been the most successful by far!

This year we have had complete Passover meals available at Weshop, in addition to a much greater variety of Passover food then was seen last year. The Kosher Kitchen, our recently redecorated Kosher (adhering to Jewish dietary practices) dining room in Butt A, was for the first time open on the weekend! For this special thanks must go to Jennifer Spada, Kosher Kitchen’s head cook, who came in on Easter so those of us observing the holiday would have food that adhered to the incredibly strict dietary measures religiously prescribed.

Appreciation should also be shown to the over 25 volunteers who spent over 40 hours kashering the kitchen in the Bayit, the Jewish program house, so it could be a resource to anyone who needed it, or who wanted to take advantage of its amply stocked shelves. For the two weekend meals that the Kosher Kitchen did not provide, meal programs were planned at the Bayit. Thank you to all who were involved!
