I wear flip-flops

In response to Malwina Andruczyk’s “Stop wearing sandals”:

Most of your body heat escapes through your extremities, so if you want to keep cool as the weather heats up, allow for adequate airflow around your head, hands, and feet. Take off your hat, gloves, and boots and feel the wind between your toes!

Tired of sitting still all day? Locomotion is sweet! Get on your feet, evolution’s empowering gift of self-transport, and cover some ground!

Sometimes when I feel self-conscious about a bad hair-day or a pimple on my nose, I take comfort in the consistency of form and function that I can depend on in my feet. In all of my 22 years I have never had a bad foot day, and when spring comes I don my flip-flops with pride, marking the beginning to a season that celebrates one of my favorite features.
