Hockey wins one at home

Women’s ice hockey regained the winning touch on Tuesday night, defeating the Trinity Bantams 1-0 on Freeman ice. Their record improved to 9-11 overall (6-6 NESCAC), as the Cardinals manhandled the Bantams in every aspect save the score. Despite scoring only once, the team garnered forty shots and only permitted nine. Anna Siliciano ’05 scored the lone goal in the third period, on an assist by Frances Jacobus-Parker ’05. Siliciano leads the team in goals (10) and assists (11). Liz Courtney ’04 solidified the strong outing by the Cardinal defense, as the goalie stopped all nine shots for the shutout. The team is currently fourth in the NESCAC standings, and travels to Connecticut College to take on the Camels, who are currently tied for seventh in the NESCAC standings at 3-8 (5-14 overall).
