California State University, Long Beach Professor Oliver Wang visited campus to deliver a lecture on the Northern California mobile DJ scene of the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.
Students gathered in Exley 150 for the second Diversity University forum, “In the Classroom and Beyond,” on Wednesday, April 24. A group of 10 panelists, including three administrators, three professors, three students, and President Michael Roth, led the forum.
The need-blind admissions debate intensified this Thursday when seven to nine students were issued citations for having entered a Board of Trustees meeting without permission the previous Sunday. The Student Judicial Board (SJB) alleged that students were in violation of Section II, Regulations 14 and 15 of the Code of Non-Academic Conduct (CNAC) when they entered the meeting at the Daniel Family Commons (DFC) to encourage the Trustees to “bring them into the conversation” about need-blind admissions.
