Welcome back, students!
Public Safety would like to remind all students that you must register your motor vehicles with our office and obtain a parking permit. Whether you reside in a dorm, woodframe or Program House, your vehicle needs to be registered. All vehicles parked on campus must display a valid Wesleyan parking decal and should have it placed in the lower left corner of the rear windshield.
While we understand that everyone is busy getting settled for the spring semester, your vehicle still needs to be registered when it arrives on campus. Students who registered in the fall but have a new (different) vehicle still need to register the vehicle, but will not be charged a second registration fee.
Any vehicles parked in faculty/staff lots overnight or during the day will be subject to ticketing and/or immobilization by an Auto Kuff. Registered student vehicles may park in faculty/staff lots from 5 p.m. to midnight Monday through Thursday and from 5 p.m. on Friday through Sunday at midnight.
Please review the Motor Vehicle Regulations (they can be found online on the Wesleyan website or picked up at our office). All lots are clearly marked so please check the signage before leaving your vehicle. The O Lot (Observatory), the Clark Hall Drive delivery area and Foss Hill Drive are restricted to motor vehicle parking on a 24-hour basis. ALL first year students are issued a V Lot decal and MUST park in the Vine Street Lot only. The responsibility for finding an authorized space rests with the operator.
Should your vehicle become disabled on University property you must contact the Office of Public Safety as soon as possible. In some instances the vehicle will have to be removed immediately, otherwise it must be removed within 48 hours. Public Safety offers motor vehicle lockouts and jump starts to all registered student vehicles.
We thank you in advance for your cooperation in helping to make parking on campus easier for everyone.
