I’ve been trying to stay away from mash-ups, but The Hood Internet has done it again and turned a relatively mediocre rap song into your new favorite dance track. There’s no putting down Lil’ Mama’s rhymes (“When I spit it’s like mucus/ Gotta get rid of it”), so when her ubiquitous “Shawty Get Loose” drops its stale synth beat in favor of the MSTRKRFT electro classic “The Looks,” it’s like that scene in a movie when two long-separated lovers run to each other across a field. Speaking of which, don’t miss out on the Hood Internet spinning between sets at Spring Fling on Wednesday.
