Our Formal Request for WesCelebrity

Dear esteemed members of the Argus staff,

We’d like to begin with a heartfelt thanks for continuing to publish your fine campus newspaper and appearing on our radio program.  We hope it was as good for you as it was for us.  And, of course, we’d also like to express our profound gratitude at your generous offering of Thai food every Thursday.

But let’s get to the important matter at hand.  This letter is our formal request for you to make us, the critically acclaimed DJs of the Word…Life Radio, the next WesCelebs.  We personally cannot think of anyone better suited for it, except perhaps Mike Rosen, but you’ve already interviewed him.  At this point we have a broad and established listenership that spans from Memphis to Wallingford to Bologna (in Italy).  The campus is abuzz with our fresh, alternative, and yes, at times controversial perspectives on a wide variety of issues, such as Sammy’s Pizza, our respective relationships and tribulations with facial hair, and feminist disability studies.  We believe that we are the only current WESU program that regularly broadcasts Argus articles, and we’ve gotten repeated calls-in from concerned listeners expressing their best wishes for FransSexuality’s speedy recovery from her recent yeast infection.

People have described interviews with us as dynamite, visceral, and well, simply life-changing.  But we don’t need to tell you this, you’ve already experienced the sort-of impact a mere conversation with us can have on your life’s trajectory.  We hope to extend this impact to the remainder of campus in our WesCelebrity.

Most affectionately, your homeboys,

Word…Life

P.S. We both thoroughly enjoyed the article on Kugel AND it’ll be like Two Broads Abroad except we’re not broads and only one of us is actually going abroad next semester so we need to do this soon!

Fitzelle and Bartle are members of the class of 2012.
