Seara attributes his exemplary leadership qualities to his time spent at Wesleyan.

“My improvements mentally I’ll have to at- tribute to the fine education that Wesleyan pro- vides,” he said. “I’ve found that the best way to lead is by example. If others look to you to see how you interact with teammates or other students on and off the field they will usually follow. As for encouraging the team, that all comes from the heart. We have become a tight family this past year so everyone will be on the same page come game day.” Before arriving at Wesleyan, Seara excelled both athletically and academically at saint Francis prep in Queens, N.Y. at saint Francis, Seara was a member of both the football and baseball teams, playing at the center and catcher positions respectively. During his four years at saint Francis, Seara earned the scholar-athlete award three times on the baseball team, and twice on the football team. in his senior year, he was the sole recipient of the senior class scholar-athlete award. as a senior, he captained the football team and was selected all- Queens for his performance on the team.

The football captain has been thrilled with his time spent at Wesleyan and is excited for the upcoming season.

“i have enjoyed every year playing here, and the people and the tradition that surround Wesleyan football has made my time here stick out the most,” he said. “I couldn’t have asked for a better group of seniors to play with. The team as a whole has become so much like a family, I sometimes forget what grade some of the younger guys are in.”
