Excuse me, Argus?

I understand that not everyone cares about cross country. Still, I find it ridiculous that Tuesday’s issue (Nov. 18, 2008, Volume CXLIV, Number 21) of The Argus did not cover the fact that Ravenna Neville ’10 and Liz Wheatley ’09 placed 5th and 11th, respectively, at the New England Regional Championship this past Saturday, Nov. 15.

Their placing earned them All-New England honors and individual qualification for the NCAA Championship, which takes place tomorrow in Hanover, Indiana.

The New England Region is the most competitive in the country for Division III women’s cross country, and Ravenna and Liz have proven themselves to be among the very best. Their tremendous achievements—and those to come—should have been front-page news.
