The women’s squash team struggled over the weekend, facing some of its toughest competition of the season. In the Little Threes on Saturday at Williams, the Cards dropped a 9-0 decision to Amherst in the opening match of the weekend. In the second match against Williams, the Cards dropped another 9-0 decision, failing to win a single game in either match.
The squash team finished up the weekend with another 9-0 loss, this time at the hands of Vassar College. The Cards picked up two games at the number three position, with Liz Demakos ’09 taking her opponent to five games.
Next weekend, the Cardinals will play in the Howe Cup, a national women’s squash tournament hosted by Yale. At the tournament beginning on Friday, the Cardinals may once again battle Amherst, Williams, Vassar, and Smith. The Cards defeated Smith 7-2 on Feb. 6.
