The Wesleyan water polo team had three of its players selected to the Collegiate Water Polo Association’s New England Division All-Conference team for their play during the 2004 season. Co-captains Mike Roguly ’05 and Mac Clonan ’05 both earned first team all-conference honors; while sophomore hole set John Haley ’07 was named to the second team. All three players were in the top four in scoring, and were members of the all-tournament team at the Division III Club National Tournament in late October. Clonan also received New England Division Coach of the Year honors after guiding the team to its best finish in three seasons.
The highly competitive New England Division produced the fourth place finisher at the National Collegiate Club Championship tournament. That team, the Yale Bulldogs, was a third place finisher in 2003 and went 2-2 in four tournament games, losing narrowly to the University of Michigan in their final game to end up in fourth position.
