Please give me back my towel.
It is a very large (about 70 inches) and thick beach towel. Dark blue and some lighter blue with two red accenting stripes, and some type of abstract design. If you’ve seen my towel or know where it is please return it to me: 227 Pine or Box 4367.
I really do need that towel. I’m poor and so is my family, which is why I work at the YMCA on Main Street early on Saturday mornings. It gets cold there and I often get sick; that’s why I looked hella hard and far to get that special towel. It needed to be washed though, because it smelled moldy when wet. That is why I put it on my back porch to dry, so it wouldn’t stink up my room. I thought, who would steal a towel? A used, smelly towel? If it were on a clothes line would that have been enough of a taboo to stop you? I hope you have the decency to return it. I feel violated, and I’m upset, and I have work to do. I need to keep teaching at the Y and I need to get good grades so that I can help support my family someday. If you really needed my towel and you are worse off than me, that’d be ok. But I have a sneaking suspicion that this is not the case.
If so, and you do not give me back my towel, well then I hope very bad things happen to you.
