This is a wonderfully quick, easy, and delicious recipe that is perfect for enjoying on a winter’s day! Toast is arguably one of the best comfort foods out there. Whether it’s the bread’s radiant brown, the feeling you get as you bite in and end up with the perfect crunch, or the warmth of the bread that melts into your mouth, you can’t really go wrong with toast.

You might be wondering: “Why is she talking about toast? Toast does not need a recipe.” That’s where you would be wrong! After an in-depth investigation, scientists have in fact found that in order to achieve the perfect slice of toast, it must be cooked for precisely 216 seconds. Although this recipe will not be as mathematically exact in its instructions, it will tell you all that you need to know to create what I think is one of the greatest culinary inventions of all time, Brie toast!

The best part of this recipe is that you can customize your Brie toast according to your tastes, perhaps by adding something savory, sweet, or even both! I promise that you will be thinking about this five-minute Brie toast recipe for hours or even days after making it. Enjoy it while cuddling up on the sofa with a hot cup of coffee or tea and watching your favorite show. It’s the staple holiday dish that you didn’t even know you were missing.

Kelly’s Perfect Brie Toast (Makes as many as you desire)

Ingredients

  • A block of Brie cheese
  • Sliced white toast or french toast
  • Olive oil
  • Himalayan salt
  • Honey
  • Cranberry, blackberry, or any jam that you like!
  • Or you can substitute the jam for fresh fruit if you feel fancy! Such as strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, figs, raspberries

Method

  1. Heat the oil in the pan on medium heat for about two minutes.
  2. Lower the heat. Toast the sliced bread on both sides.
  3. Remove the toast from the pan.
  4. Slice the Brie cheese into even slices.
  5. Layer the cheese slices across the toast.
  6. Return the toast to the pan, toasting the cheese side for about 10 seconds until flipping it over. Wait till the cheese is melted, and then sprinkle on your desired amount of salt.
  7. Remove the toast from the pan.
  8. Spread the jam or fruit onto the toast, and drizzle honey on top.
  9. It’s now ready to be served!

Enjoy!
