If you’re new to Wesleyan, you will soon realize that there’s almost always something artsy going on over the weekend. A large part of this activity is due to the hard work of Second Stage, the student theater organization that helps manage funds for shows designed, directed, and performed by Wesleyan students.

Since 1972, Second Stage has helped both theater and non-theater majors hone their craft in an extremely supportive community filled with creative and unique students. According to its website, Second Stage produced 24 shows last semester, which included plays, musicals, student-written pieces, thesis projects, and the like. With a few shows this semester already cast and in rehearsal, here’s some brief information on a few of the upcoming auditions.  More will be announced in the coming weeks as the semester kicks into full gear.
