Over spring break, the Wesleyan men’s and women’s crew teams traveled to Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida. Both teams were looking to carry over some momentum from promising fall seasons, and the women were able to do so, defeating the University of Florida, Army, and host Rollins in the Rollins Invitational.

The women dominated the competition, beating second-place Florida by a full 11 seconds. The second and third boats also won their race, finishing first and second in the second varsity race, giving the women a 3-0 record in dual races.

Meanwhile, the men had a rougher time of it, beating Army but finishing behind Rollins and Florida. The second boat did win the second varsity race, giving the team a 1-2 record in dual races.

The men and women will both look to improve their records in their next competition against Coast Guard at home on Saturday, March 31.
