Men’s Soccer’s Run Ends in Second Round of NCAA Tournament

Behind the strength of a goal in the 24th minute by midfielder Rory O’Neill ’13, bolstered by goalie Adam Purdy ’13 leading the defensive charge to an 11th shutout this season for Wesleyan, the men’s soccer team dispatched Misericordia 1-0 in the opening round of the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Tournament. Unfortunately, men’s soccer’s magical season came to an end at the hands of Rutgers-Camden in the second round, as the Cardinals fell by a score of 2-1. A more extensive recap of the season will run in Friday’s issue.
