This past weekend Wesleyan sent three representatives from the women’s tennis team to the regional ITA Championship tournament held at Bates College. The tournament ran Friday, Sept. 30 to Sunday, Oct. 2 and hosted a number of players from competitive DIII schools in the northeast. Kiley Robbins ’14 lost her singles match to a Springfield opponent while Grace Smith ’14 and Lauren Jacobs ’15 lost a hard-fought 9-7 doubles match to a pair from Brandeis. Smith and Jacobs went on to win their unofficial consolation match 9-8 to a couple from Smith. The women’s tennis team will conclude its fall season on Oct. 15 with an away match at Holy Cross.
