• The Wesleyan men’s ice hockey team posted its highest scoring game in 19 years with a 14-1 win over the University of New England, advancing their position in the 2010-2011 NESCAC Playoff Tournament. The Cardinals celebrated their first-ever NESCAC Tournament win with a 5-2 first-round victory over top-seeded Hamilton College.

    Tommie Lark ’12 of Wesleyan Track and Field was named NCAA All-American for the second time in 2011 after placing eighth in the country in the Triple Jump with a school-record-breaking leap.

    Wesleyan football’s top running back, Shea Dwyer ’10 broke the single season rushing records for yards gained in a game, season, and career, breaking 1,000 and ending the season with an astounding 1392 all-purpose yards. Dwyer was also a finalist for the Gigliardi trophy, the Division III equivalent of the Heisman trophy.

    With the help of all-American goalie, Tori Redding ’13, the Wesleyan field hockey team was ranked #20 in the nation after a 5 – 0 start to the 2010 season.
