Students returning from a winter break and looking forward to a hot meal or a cold beer at the Cardinal’s Nest, a nearby American Bistro, were disappointed to find that it has not reopened for business. A sign on the front of currently unoccupied restaurant reads “Sorry for any Inconvenience.”

The Nest’s website is currently down and although a number of rumors are circulating regarding the reason for the restaurant’s closing, owner John Gecewicz could not be reached for comment. The Middlesex Chamber of Commerce was not notified about any intention to close.

The Cardinal’s Nest opened last year and had gained a following among locals and students alike for its food and bar scene.
