Kinesthesia is, according to one dictionary, “the sense that detects bodily position, weight, or movement of the muscles, tendons, and joints.” It’s also the name of this year’s Winter Dance concert, which provides an outlet for junior and senior dance majors to explore the kinesthesia of the human body.

This year, eight dance majors have composed pieces for the concert: Naadu Bentsi-Enchill ’12, Claire Feldmen-Reich ’12, James Gardella ’12, Hsiao-Tung Huang ’12, Nina Simone Moore ’11, Nik Owens ’12, Antonio Reis ’12, and Lena Solow ’12. Their pieces will be presented in the CFA Theater this Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5 for general admission, and $4 for Wesleyan students.

Come join the Dance Department in a celebration of the versatility and beauty of the human form.
