Stephen Morgan Trial Pushed Back

As reported in the Hartford Courant, the case against Stephen Morgan, the man accused of fatally shooting Johanna Justin-Jinich ’10 last May, was continued to April 30 to allow the defense to review a police background report on Morgan and the results of an investigation examining his computer’s hard drive.

This is the third time the trial has been delayed—in October Judge Patrick Clifford gave police more time to pursue evidence using recently obtained search warrants and in January he granted time to complete a mental health evaluation of Morgan.

According to his attorneys, Morgan’s mental health evaluations are continuing. Morgan has pled not guilty.

This is bs.. I worked with Johanna in Fort Collins for a bit. What a beautifully talented caring girl with soo much to offer. This was a senseless act and this man deserves the worst punishment possible. If pleading insanity gets him a “w” maybe Hitler should have done the same…were all fools if this man is not convicted!
