Today I had the pleasure of being informed that the authors of a piece in the Ampersand—specifically, “Save Time by Staycationing”—had used my name and details from my life for a fabricated quote without consulting me. After a long period of contemplation, I have decided to forgive the authors of this piece for their aberrant breach of journalistic ethics.

However, I shall find no such forgiveness for the authors’ failure to correctly spell my name. It is spelled “Nussenbaum” — n, u, s, s, E, N, b, a, u, m.

In the future, when besmirching my name with imaginary quotes without my permission, please take care to spell it correctly.

Thank you,

Max Nussenbaum ’12
