It’s the last Ampersand of the semester, but it’s the end of more than that. Both your intrepid editors are going away, possibly forever. Gelman is going to be teaching in New York, where there’s every chance that he’ll join a gang of roving street Hassids and drop out. But after hanging onto the college life for a fifth year, I’m finally walking the walk that corresponds to the talk I have for so long talked.

Yes, dear reader, I’m graduating. What does this mean for you? Well, I might not be able to write for the Ampersand every week, as I’ll be busy pulling in what I assume will be an eight-digit starting salary as a screenplay-writing rock star president. You’ll be able to read my screenplays, lyrics, and presidential pardons, of course.

The future holds many mysteries, friend reader. My guaranteed success is not one of them, but there are plenty of others to titillate the mind. For example, what will happen to membership in Alpha Delt when there’s actually a Starfleet? How impressive will doing the Robot really be when there are robots who do the Human? Also, when will we be able to release our sexual frustrations by doing robots?

Gaze with us now into the crystal ball of the imagination as we peer ahead into what is without a doubt definitely going to happen to Wesleyan and to the world. Join us as we lead you through…

the Ampersand of the future!

For real this time,
Nat

P.S. Please welcome next semester’s editors, Brian Morgan and Brendan Larkin!
